Meet the Trainer

Jess

I started training my own personal dogs in 2010 (Dakota); she was a good student and thankfully, very forgiving. But I didn't get into training professionally until 2017.

When I got Saige (my first high drive, crazy GSD); I truly had NO idea what I was getting myself into (even though I researched like crazy) and was in WAY over my head!

Thanks to Saige I found all the hidden jewels in the amazing and complex world of dog training. There is always something new to learn, new methods to know or sports to get involved in.

I obtained my first - of hopefully many training certificates - through Animal Behavior College in August of 2017. I volunteer my free time to local shelters and rescues - providing advice and training.

Having multiple dogs, means I have multiple different personalities, different ways to train and that there's never a dull moment. Each dog has their own needs and ways of learning and I love learning how to adapt to make sure everyone learns something new.

2020, although being an insane year opened up the world of dog sports for me and part of my crew. I am currently training in dock dogs, disc dogs, ACK scent work, narcotics/explosive detection personal protection and IGP.
